Coached by the Pros!The choruses will be staged and you will be coached by three outstanding professionals: Niccolò Paganini is a very experienced chorus conductor who is unfazed by the ability or age of chorus members, having conducted children, adults, amateurs and professionals. He is also an expert on (and a descendent of) the renowned violinist Niccolò Pagani and has promised to regale us with stories of his ancestor. David Edwards worked as a Staff Director at the Royal Opera House until 1997. Since then he has been directing in many international opera houses, including San Francisco, San Diego, Minneapolis, Tokyo and Singapore. He teaches at the Royal Academy of Music and the Central School of Speech and Drama. Mary Hill is currently Chief Coach and Opera Co-ordinator at the Royal Academy of Music. The only requirement is a commitment on your part to get to know the choruses before the event by studying the words and music of these stunning choruses! You will really get the most out of this experience if you learn the choruses by heart. You will be helped enormously by the CD that Richard Black has recorded for you on which he says the words of the choruses in time to the music and play the notes for some, but not all, the parts. If this sounds like an uphill struggle, do not despair — there will be rehearsals and tools to help you prepare. to be sung in Italian and German.
