Coached by the Pros!

The choruses will be staged and you will be coached by four outstanding professionals:

Stephen Brown is a tenor, whose career has led to roles with companies such as Glyndebourne, Opera Della Luna, English Touring Opera, Carl Rosa Opera and D'Oyly Carte Opera Company.  Stephen is the artistic director of both Kentish Opera and Opera in Oborne, the Allegri Singers and the Sussex Chorus.  He is also the artistic director of the Rosenau Sinfonia, a professional orchestra based in London, with whom he recently conducted the whole ‘Ring Cycle’ of Wagner.

David Edwards worked as a Staff Director at the Royal Opera House until 1997. Since then he has been directing in many international opera houses, including San Francisco, San Diego, Minneapolis, Tokyo and Singapore. He teaches at the Royal Academy of Music and the Central School of Speech and Drama.

Jennifer Carter, a pianist, works independently as a chamber musician, accompanist and soloist, inculding at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music.

The only requirement is a commitment on your part to get to know the choruses before the event by studying the words and music of these stunning choruses! You will really get the most out of this experience if you learn the choruses by heart.

You will be helped enormously by the recording that has made for you, in which the words of the choruses are said in time to the music and the melodies of each of the four voices (soprano, alto/mezzo, tenor, bass) are played on the piano.
